The strategic priorities for the Ngāti Paoa Iwi Trustas endorsed by the Iwi are:
PaoaWhare – (Housing)
Paoa Mahi – (Employment)
Paoa-Tanga – (Marae Development)
To ensure there is consistency, cohesion and clarity between the strategic priorities above and the vision, values and principles, the Iwi Trust also developed a‘Strategic Planning Framework.’The Strategic Planning Framework will also enable the Iwi to develop a 5 year Long Term Plan for 2020 – 2025
In addition to the Strategic Priorities above the Iwi Trust also incorporated priorities from the inauguralLong Term Plandeveloped by the Trust Board in 2006 as the Iwi considered these priorities to still be relevant and important today, namely:

Hauora Tāngata (Health and Well-Being)
